Business Plan 2006-07
The delivery of the Corporate Strategy was underpinned by ORR’s Business Plan for 2006-07 (published in April 2006 as an annex to the Corporate Strategy). That Business Plan described in greater detail what ORR expected to achieve over the planning period 2006-07, and the activities it intended to undertake in support of its aim and objectives. Details of these are on the ‘Aim and objectives’ page.
Corporate Strategy 2006-09
The Office of Rail Regulation's updated Corporate Strategy, published in April 2006 following consultation with stakeholders, set out its approach to the regulation of the rail industry until 2009. The focus is on achievement by the industry of continuous improvement in safety, performance and customer service alongside relentless improvement in efficiency and the elimination of unnecessary cost. ORR believes that continuous improvement in safety and business efficiency go hand in hand.
