Public register
By law, we are required to maintain and provide public access to certain classes of information relating to the regulation of the railways. This is called the public register. Please refer to our publication scheme for details of what we make public.
Documents on the public register fall into one of the following main document types:
- Closures
- Depot access agreements
- Experimental passenger services
- Facility exemptions
- Freight facility access agreements
- General approvals & consents
- Health & safety
- Improvement & prohibition notices
- Licences
- Miscellaneous
- Station access agreements
- Track access agreements
To access the public register please enter our register database where copies of documents can be downloaded free of charge. Not all documents have been added to the database as yet; if you cannot find the documents you need or have any other queries regarding access please contact the Information Centre.
