Guidance for contracting entities on the Decision 2009/107/EC amending the freight wagon TSI

The Commission Decision 2009/107/EC amending the freight wagon TSI has been published and will come into force on 1 July 2009. .

In the replacement text, Annex JJ of the amended freight wagon TSI lists requirements that need to be complied with in order for an authorisation granted in one Member State to be valid in all other Member States. This does not impact on ORR granting authorisations for freight vehicles solely for use in the UK. It will mean, however, that unless the conditions listed in Annex I paragraph 7.6.4 are met, the authorisation will not be valid in other Member States.
