Consents issued to Network Rail under its network licence

Consents are considered where Network Rail approaches us to undertake activities restricted by its network licence.

Conditions 4, 5 and 7

The main conditions where Network Rail applies for consent are conditions 4 (Financial ring-fence), 5 (Interests in rolling stock and train operators) and 7 (Land disposal).

What we do

Consents are issued on the basis of the information provided to us by Network Rail and having regard to our section 4 duties.
