Scope of review
The stations IOS review established the efficienct cost of delivering a major programme of enhancements to stations. The programme consists of new facilities at stations across the network including passenger personal security and information systems, waiting facilities and toilets. The SRA specified the scope of the programme
On 23 July 2002, the Regulator launched an initial consultation on the review as the SRA had provided an initial view on the scope of the programme.
The initial consultation phase on whether to carry out the stations IOS interim review finished on 30 August 2002 and the Regulator published a statement initiating the review on 5 December 2002. The Regulator published his provisional conclusions on stage 1 of the stations IOS review on 4 April 2003. Reports from the Regulator's advisers which supported the provisional conclusions are available below.
