Memoranda of Understanding
We have Memoranda of Understanding with a number of different government departments and agencies. Their purpose is to promote effective coordination of the regulatory roles of each body, and effective co-operation between them. They are not intended to be legally binding or to create expectations whose non-fulfilment would give rise to rights at law.
Memoranda of understanding are sometimes accompanied by Agency Agreements which set out the functions we have agreed to perform for others.
