Health & safety regulation & certification
The Railway and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations (ROGS) came into force on 10 April 2006.
These new regulations replaced:
- The Railways (Safety Case) Regulations 2000 (RSCR);
- The Railways (Safety Critical Work) Regulations 1994 (RSCWR); and
- The Railways and Other Transport Systems (Approval of Works, Plant and Equipment) Regulations 1994 (ROTS).
There are transitional arrangements for ROTS and Railways Safety Case holders under ROGS and ORR is working with the railway industry to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible.
