National Rail Review
The National Rail Review is our principal monitoring communications medium, commenting on the national rail industry in Britain. It takes a broad, high-level look at the whole mainline railway (and, for health and safety, including underground, light rail and tram services). We are seeking to identify and comment on significant trends, achievements and challenges. Consequently, the content will change from quarter to quarter, in a format which considers these main aspects of the industry:
- rail markets, passenger and freight;
- quality, performance and perceptions;
- health and safety; and
- other current issues.
This new publication incorporates links through to:
- National Rail Trends, which now becomes a rolling online data resource, enabling users to have access to the most up to date information possible; and
- the latest edition of the Network Rail Monitor, the quarterly report on Network Rail’s performance, with companion scorecards for Great Britain, for England and Wales, and for Scotland.
The first edition was published on 21 August 2006 and covered developments up to and including Quarter 1 2006-07. See below for a PDF of each edition.
