National rail review
The National rail review is our principal method of commenting on current issues affecting the GB national rail industry. In addition, we produce the Network Rail monitor (quarterly) and the annual assessment of Network Rail.
Contents of National rail review
The review takes a broad, high-level look at the GB mainline railway, identifying and commenting on significant trends, achievements and challenges.
The content varies over time, but usually covers the following:
- rail markets, passenger and freight
- quality, performance and perceptions
- health and safety
- other current issues
