Professor Stephen Glaister, Non-executive Director, Office of the Rail Regulator

15 May 2001 Professor Stephen Glaister, after a tenure of seven years, relinquished his post as a non-executive director at the Office of the Rail Regulator (ORR) at the end of the financial year. Professor Glaister, who is Professor of Transport and Infrastructure at Imperial College, London, has been a non-executive director at ORR since it was established in 1994. In July 2000 he became a member of the newly-created Transport For London board. The Rail Regulator, Tom Winsor, thanked Professor Glaister for his tenure of office: "I am particularly grateful to Professor Glaister for his length of service with us and for the contribution he has made to corporate governance at the Office of the Rail Regulator.
