Performance regime workshop
The Schedule 8 performance regime provides a basis for compensation to train operators for the impact of lateness and cancellations on their revenues. It also provides incentives for Network Rail and train operators to continuously improve performance where it makes economic sense to do so. This is achieved by Network Rail and train operators making bonus payments/ paying financial compensation where performance is better than/worse than a benchmark.
On 25 July 2011, to start off our review of the Schedule 8 performance regime as part of Periodic Review 13 (PR13), we held a workshop. The note of the workshop is available below.
